I like saying Twenty-Ten - It has such an upbeat ring.
But many of you are not feeling upbeat just yet. You're still hanging-on and making-do while looking for the silver lining in your cloudy outlook. Interestingly, there is probably a sad song, or a poem, a proverb or a metaphor or a cliche to describe every job or work-related struggle ever endured by anyone.
Many of you found a little silver in your clouds and are facing small victories with grace and gratitude. Like Dorothy who had been jobless for more than a year, but was wonderfully blessed when her holiday job became permanent just before Twenty-Ten arrived. Dorothy, a 20 year career professional shared with me that she was happy to be working at any job and her positive attitude obviously made a difference with her bosses because they asked her to stay on when the job should have ended. Dorothy and her positive outlook reminded me of my jobless event of a few years ago which I wrote about in, "Coping Strategies".
I remember that even in my disillusionment, I had much to be grateful for back then and so my mantra for Twenty-Ten is, "In it to Win-it"!
Cheers and I wishing you CWW Career-Wise Ways...! in Twenty-Ten!!
