Career-Wise Ways ... Not Just A Job-But A Career ®

Wiser-Ways to Define Your Dream Career

If you want to refresh your job perspective, these ideas might help you get going.  There is no onw answer on defining what you want from a dream situation.   All you have to do is start imagining how it could be and before you know it, you might start working on making it happen.

I call this list the Wiser-Ways List.  All the points have been shared and determined by individuals I've mentored or worked with over the years.

I enjoy re-visitng them often and at least a couple times a year, I re-examine my dreams for how CWW will help you, using this list as a guide.

Enjoy it!

  1. What is your working style? Corporate? Family-owned? Home-Based? Service-oriented? Industrial?  Self-employment?
  2. Clear out the clutter in your life and figure out what keeps you grounded.
  3. Look at your work style from a different perspective. Are you management material or are you a follow-the-leader type?
  4. How do you represent yourself? Does your personality match your career?
  5. Instead of relying on the job you have to fully represent you, why not broaden your interests and be represented through several career channels.
  6. Make your career multi-purpose. If you are good at something, start a side business doing just that to create a new income stream?
  7. Reinvent your job or career. Add to your skills and certification base by learning how to do something totally unrelated to your job / career.
  8. Find a niche that you are passionate about and work on making it your dream niche.
  9. Take some of your money and use it to improve yourself - your social skills, your speaking voice, your dining etiquette, your wardrobe and accessories, personal habits, learning another language?
  10. Be mentored by someone who has been degreed by the School of Life.
  11. Mix and match your interests. Find an idea that is waiting to happen and make it happen. Remember the barcode? Could that have been you?  I certainly wish it had been me.

Wishing you CWW Career-Wise Ways...!
